
WHO WE ARE


Swing à la Django is an internationally acclaimed ensemble that has developed a distinctive musical language blending classic, gypsy swing, bossa nova, Hungarian folk music, French chanson, tango, and jazz into a seamless and contemporary crossover style.
Inspired by the legacy of Django Reinhardt, the band reinterprets the atmosphere of the 1930s and 1940s through a modern musical perspective, combining tradition with virtuoso improvisation and creative innovation. Their unique sound reflects a dynamic fusion of genres shaped by the individual artistry of its members.
The musicians of Swing à la Django have performed on international stages both independently and alongside renowned orchestras and ensembles, including the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dohnányi Orchestra, the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra and many more.
The ensemble has appeared in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, as well as leading concert halls across Europe. Their concerts have consistently attracted sold-out audiences, with standout performances at Palace of Arts in Budapest, Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna and many more.
They have collaborated and shared the stage with acclaimed artists such as Stochelo Rosenberg, Roby Lakatos, and Bangó Margit, further strengthening their position within the international music scene.
Since its formation, the band has grown into a cohesive artistic collective built on strong musical connection and shared vision, delivering high-energy, virtuosic performances to an ever-expanding international audience.
